DrVCares Pediatrics

I am a Board-Certified Pediatrician with over 20 years of experience in pediatrics and child health. My mission is to advance family-centered care, empowering parents to raise resilient, healthy children. After earning my medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and completing my pediatric residency at Holtz Children’s Hospital, I began my career in community health, caring for some of South Florida’s most vulnerable children. This experience strengthened my commitment to compassionate, innovative care and laid a strong foundation for my lifelong dedication to excellence.

In 2009, I transitioned to private practice, working with diverse families and deepening my interest in personalized care. This experience also highlighted the limitations of traditional healthcare, especially in pediatrics, and inspired me to seek new approaches. During the pandemic, I embraced telehealth to stay connected with patients, fueling my interest in using technology to extend care beyond the office.

In 2024, I launched DrVCares Pediatrics, a concierge practice designed for today’s families. This membership-based model emphasizes convenience, continuity, and comprehensive care, offering direct access, telehealth, and in-home visits that reduce disruptions to daily life. At the present time I offer in home visits for families in Miami Dade and Broward County. A core mission is to support new mothers in their transition into parenthood by providing newborn care at home.
